5th November -- Bowness, Cumbris
A glorious sunny late autumn day. Great walking, wonderful views (and a little mud).

The A walk started at Plumgarths on B5284, going over Cunswick Scar to Underbarrow, then on via the Dales ways into Bowness
Two types of cake.. .. and sparklers!
on Scout Scar
Arnside and Grange estuaries in the distance
Linda looks improbably happy with muddy prospect
Well timed pub stop in Underbarrow
Welcome sight after a long day

Roger's B walk started in Bowness, near the marina and followed a clockwise loop covering the rarely visited area SE & S of Bowness going through Lindeth and Thornyfields and back past Winster House and into Bowness.
Uphill already!
All change!
Well stocked duck pond
Lunch in grounds of Winster House
Jacobs sheep, spotted by Roger (thanks to Sue for the pun!)

The 'C' group walk started at 'Booths' in Windermere and headed north to Orrest Head with its fine views over the lake, then turned south across the fields taking in more fine views of the area to School Knott. Then joining the Dales Way, we turned west to some very scenic countryside, ending up on on a high vantage point overlooking Bowness giving even better views of the lake with the hills of Coniston and Langdale in the background.

Bill's B walk started with the Cs and followed a very similar route except for a loop to the north to Common farm after Orrest Head and a loop to the East to Black Moss, Yews and Hag End after School Knott. Finishing along the scenic Dales Way into Bowness.

And finally...
